Little Shop of Horrors Design Internship
THE OPPORTUNITY:
In late 2025 and early 2026, I completed an internship as a designer under Production Designer Penny Challen, working on the Little Shop of Horrors Production performed at QPAC.
This experience allowed me to both observe and participate in the creative process from the ideation stages to the construction and rehearsal stages. I saw the importance of collaboration, with creatives and professionals from a variety of disciplines coming together to bring a show to life.
MY ROLE:
Within the team, I completed a variety of design-based tasks, from design and drafting of set elements, working on the graphic design for props and signage elements and doing hands-on tasks like sewing and painting to help create props and costumes.
